Autohaus Hamilton was founded by Ian Hamilton in 1970, making them Sydney's longest established independent Porsche specialist. It wasn't long before Sydney's Porsche enthusiasts flocked to their doors. For three decades Ian and his team built up an enviable reputation by the late 1990's.
Grant Geelan was an integral part of the team. Grant acquired the business in 2000 and has surrounded himself with a team of fellow enthusiasts who share a deep-seated passion for Porsches. Now occupying four factory units in Headland Road, Dee Why, Autohaus Hamilton has vast experience and the necessary diagnostic equipment to maintain Porsche 911's from 1965 to the latest 997 models, 924/944/968 and 928, as well as Boxster, Cayenne and Cayman.
GRANT GEELAN & CINDY GEELAN
Grant served his apprenticeship and worked for ten years at Scuderia Veloce Motors Lindfield, now Porsche Centre Willoughby before moving to Scuderia Veloce Willoughby (now Porsche Centre Willoughby) where he was fully trained on Porsche and Ferrari. Grant joined Autohaus Hamilton as a senior mechanic. After five years, and with his wife Cindy, Grant took up Ian Hamilton's offer to purchase the business when Ian decided to hang up his overalls and retire.
As owner and principal mechanic Grant continues to put his heart and soul into maintaining the brilliant reputation of Autohaus Hamilton as the place to come to for Porsche specialist mechanics. On weekends Grant can often be found at the race track providing track support for our customers. With most of them winning or leading the respective competitions. There is no doubt that he has what it takes to put a Porsche at the front of the grid.
Cindy keeps our office and reception running smoothly and provides the special care that all our valued client's need. This has enabled Grant to spend more of his time on what he loves best, working on Porsches, while maintaining a close relationship with his customers.
Having been married to Grant for 12 years, she has been around Porsches and motor sport for long enough to know that only the highest level of service will do.
TIM ANDERSEN
Tim also worked at Scuderia Veloce Motors Lindfield and moved to Porsche Centre Willoughby, where he was employed for sixteen years. His duties included working as road tester and workshop manager.
Tim joined us as a senior technician and has worked at Autohaus Hamilton since 1998. With over twenty six years working on all models of Porsche, Tim shares his exceptional knowledge of these fine cars with our customers.
STUART BRUCE
Stuart is from Scotland, he has been in Australia for three years now. Stuart comes with a wealth of knowledge from his involvement in motor sport in the UK and his engineering background makes him a tremendous asset to our motor sport department. Stuart can also turn his hand to service work in our main work shop as and when required. All in all he is a great chap to be around and keeps us all laughing.
TOM WINTER
Tom came to us from the main dealer network, bringing a wealth of knowledge in the latest vehicle technologies. He has proven he can tackle any job from figuring out todays complicated electronics to major mechanical work. Apart from Porsche's Tom's other passion is surfing, when he's not at work he can normally be found at Curl Curl beach.
ROBERT HUNTLEY
Rob is our financial guru, he handles all our accounts and office admin with such efficiency that even the Germans would be proud. On our workshop side Rob manages all our daily parts inventory making sure that our technicians always have what they need in stock to get the job done.
SCOTT LANG
Scott is another Porsche fanatic who worked out how to combine his passion with his career. He runs and co-owns ‘Autohaus Hamilton Sales’ with Grant. Having owned 12 Porsches in the last 10 years he well and truly knows the brand and what it takes to live with them on a daily basis. Scott uses this intimate knowledge to help find the perfect Porsches for our customers.
MATT WORSLEY
Matt loves Porsches. He is a fully qualified automotive mechanic who has worked on Porsches all his working life, firstly at Porsche Centre Willoughby and then at another very well known Porsche specialist. Matt’s broad skill set and factory training on today’s modern Porsches makes him a highly valued member of our team.
JAMES BRENNAN
After finishing his apprenticeship James became a Porsche convert and came to Autohaus Hamilton. He enjoys spending time at the track, assisting with our many track days as well as in the workshop.
